The Gorham Savings Bank Maine Marathon/Half Marathon/Relay is all about community. There are many ways you can be involved!
Every year, we donate thousands of dollars to our selected beneficiaries. Our major beneficiary for the 2017 race is the Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness, whose mission is to promote safe, respectful and inclusive schools and communities. Every runner helps out just by signing up and racing. Read more about our current and past beneficiaries.
But, you can give more to any charity of your choice and we want to help you do that. As you go through our registration system, you’ll have the option of setting up your charity site as well. Feel free to think big—in 2016, a team of 90 runners raised almost $160,000 for the Josephine and John Marr Alzheimer’s Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital!
All Maine Track Club races are completely volunteer-run including the Maine Marathon. We need help before, during and after the race to continue making this a great event for everyone! Whether you can give a single afternoon or want to make a longer commitment, there’s a way for you to help.
