About the Maine Marathon

The Maine Community Bank Maine Marathon is a Maine Track Club event. Founded in 1979, the nonprofit, all-volunteer Maine Track Club is Maine’s largest and most active running club. The 2025 event will be the 34th edition – making this one of the longest running marathon events in New England.

Volunteers serve as race directors and handle race day logistics, organize the expo, help find sponsors, and more.

The event is committed to giving back to the community through charitable giving. Since 1997, the Maine Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay and its participants have raised over $7,900,000 for charity.
