Portland is a great city for runners, their families, and friends, and marathon weekend the perfect time to explore! There’s no place like Maine in the fall—crisp clear weather, beautiful fall foliage, and plenty of opportunities to check out our restaurants and breweries (29 of them!). Come early or stay an extra day to explore the city and the region, whether that leads you to ferry rides, fried clams, or saving your legs by taking the Brew Bus. On race day, there is plenty of parking near the start/finish, so your fans can come and go, and it’s also close enough to walk to from downtown hotels.
