2019 award winners

Awards for the marathon and half marathon will be given to the top five overall finishers, the first masters (40+), and the first wheelchair competitors, as determined by gun time.

This year, The Maine Marathon offers cash prizes to the top five finishers in the marathon and half marathon for male, female and nonbinary categories. The prize amounts are identical across all gender categories (subject to meeting elite racers time standards).

The half marathon awards ceremony will take place at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. The charity beneficiary check will be awarded at 11:00 a.m. The marathon awards ceremony will take place at 11:45 a.m.

There are also age group awards for male and female, determined by net time, as follows:

  • 19 & under (top 3)
  • 20-24 (top 3)
  • 25-29 (top 3)
  • 30-34 (top 3)
  • 35-39 (top 3)
  • 40-44 (top 3)
  • 45-49 (top 3)
  • 50-54 (top 3)
  • 55-59 (top 3)
  • 60-64 (top 3)
  • 65-69 (top 3)
  • 70-74 (top 3)
  • 75-79 (top 3)
  • 80-84 (top 3)
  • 85-89 (top 3)
  • 90+ (top 1)

Age-group winners can pick up their awards before the awards ceremonies. The only non-binary awards are for the top five overall, with or without cash, depending on meeting elite racers’ timing criteria.

Relay awards

Awards will also be presented to the top three male, female and mixed relay teams, as well as the top three masters teams in each category.

Double-dipping is allowed only for the first-place masters runners if they also place in the top five overall.
