Hotel and Travel Information

October is a great time to visit Portland, and it’s easy to get here, just 2 hours north of Boston! Acclaimed as a top small city, with great food and countless breweries, we think it makes for one of the best fall marathon towns, too. And the start/finish line for all distances is walkable from downtown hotels, so you can even leave your car at home.

For more information about Portland-area hotels and planning your trip to the Maine Community Bank Maine Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay, we recommend Visit Portland.  And if you have any questions once you arrive, they’ll even be at our expo on Saturday.

With the help from Halo, a hotel booking platform for athletes, supporters and fans, we’ve selected a few different hotel options for you and your crew to choose from that are close and convenient for the race.  Booking through Halo gives you access to discounted rates, swag bags and designated breakfast areas to connect with other Maine Marathon guests. Best of all, a portion of your reservation will be donated to charity! Experiences are better when you stay together.
